AMMAN, Jordan: Earlier this year, EMS Electro Medical Systems celebrated the opening of its new office in the Middle East at the W hotel in Amman in the presence of 24 delegates from some of the leading dental companies in the world. There was active participation by EMS’s top management team, headed by General Manager Paolo Zanetti, who came from Nyon in Switzerland to attend the inauguration.

The morning session conveyed EMS’s drive and determination to continue to provide evidence-based and clinically proven solutions. An example of this is Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), a true revolution in terms of how biofilm is managed today. What makes the GBT protocol unique are these three crucial concepts:

  • Biofilm is disclosed.
  • The treatment starts with the AIRFLOW and PLUS powder.
  • The use of hand instrumentation and ultrasonic power on the tooth is decreased.

All this combines to provide a higher standard of preventive care, greater patient comfort and less tooth abrasion, as manual instrumentation can be damaging to the crystal prisms of the enamel and the surfaces of the dentine.

During the event, EMS revealed its plan to invest more in the region in an effort to better support its partners, dentists and dental hygienists. EMS will also be expanding the number of GBT and Swiss Dental Academy courses in the area and collaborating more closely with universities.

The Middle East, Africa and India team will be opening an accredited affiliate for the Swiss Dental Academy in Amman, where EMS will be hosting a number of professional training courses.

The inauguration of the new office represents an important step forward for EMS in the Middle East. Under the leadership of Ziad al-Asali, EMS will establish a new vision for customer care, improve the quality of its courses and, above all, share the EMS “I FEEL GOOD” culture.
